"Truculent is a solo project based in Philly that takes American tradional guitar picking music ala John Fahey but subtly tangles in elements of noise and psychedelia. This is not charged. This is not headbashing. This is tranquil. Contemplative. But not to say this isn’t fun to listen to when you’re coming down off mushrooms, watching the sun come up. It fucking is. Beautiful guitar work and composition. Interesting arrangements. The album title is also very fitting. No Bandcamp, so if you want to support them, email their YouTube channel. Grassroots. How fitting. For fans of the theory that Geordi La Forge went blind drinking moonshine under the Reading Rainbow."
